Waldorf Astoria has collaborated with Italian sports car manufacturer
Lamborghini to expand and extend its Driving
Experiences program to seven hotels this year.
Hotel guests will have the
opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2 or
Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder for 30-minute driving sessions led by professional
driving instructors from Lamborghini. In addition to the customized driving
routes, Waldorf Astoria will also offer a virtual-reality experience with Gear
VR Oculus goggles.
The first excursion under the
Lamborghini partnership took place earlier this month at Utah’s Waldorf Astoria
Park City, while the next excursion will be held in September at the Waldorf
Astoria New York during the U.S. Open tennis tournament.
The Trianon Palace Versailles
will host an excursion during October’s Paris Motor Show. And in November,
the Boca Raton Resort & Club and the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm
Jumeirah and Walforf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah will each host excursions.
Waldorf Astoria launched the
program in 2014 with cars such
as the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider, McLaren MP4-12C and Porsche 911 Turbo.
