G Adventures unveiled a rail travel collection that the company says will "transform how thousands of travelers connect with the world."
The 60 rail journeys are offered across the tour operator's different travel styles, including its solo and young adult collections. G Adventures said it aims to provide "stress-free transport logistics" while offering opportunities to see parts of a country not always visited by tourists.
The group itineraries will be led by a tour guide, which the company calls their "chief experience officers," and will provide travelers opportunities to explore smaller towns while reducing their carbon footprint by swapping flights for rail.
"Rail travel can be so much more than just a mode of transportation; it's a gateway into responsible cultural exploration, where the journey is just as enjoyable as the destination," said G Adventures vice president of product Yves Marceau.

The seven-day Paris to Rome: Picnics & Pizza, part of the brand's 18-to-Thirtysomethings collection, begins with a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower before traveling by train to Basel, Switzerland. From there, travelers will take a private vehicle to Interlaken, a small city in the Swiss Alps, where they will have the option to go mountain biking or paragliding. The trip will end in Rome.
The 10-day Highlights of Poland, part of G Adventures' Classic collection, features three days in Warsaw, where travelers will explore the city's old town, before taking off for Gdansk on a train. Travelers will also visit Wroclaw, known as the "Venice of Poland," by rail. Traveling by train will give passengers the opportunity to see Poland's countryside.
The Back Roads of Japan itinerary will feature the country's high-speed Shinkansen bullet train and take travelers from Tokyo to Kyoto, stopping by smaller cities along the way, like Nagano, Otsu and Hagi. Highlights on this itinerary include visiting the Jigokudani Monkey Park, dining at the home of a local family in Hagi, and exploring the Tottori Sand Dunes.
