Globus restructures trade sales and marketing

On the heels of unveiling a new business-to-business brand marketing platform, the Globus family of brands has restructured and expanded its sales and trade marketing teams.

Globus' brands are the Globus and Cosmos tour operators and river cruise line Avalon Waterways.

As part of this restructuring, Cory McGillivray has returned to Globus as senior director of sales operations and channel marketing. McGillivray spent nearly a decade with the Globus family of brands in trade marketing before leaving for Silversea.

Now back with Globus, McGillivray aims to support the needs of travel advisors, enhancing marketing and sales growth opportunities across the U.S. and Canada.

Globus said it has increased its trade marketing team by 50%. Joining McGillivray are Dave Llewelyn, manager of sales development and channel marketing; Faith McDade, marketing coordinator; and Tamara Olton, partner training specialist. 

"Merging our sales and channel marketing teams creates a seamless path to success for our advisor partners," said McGillivray. "Through shared insights, coordinated strategies and tailored resources, our sales team -- now supported by a group of new and expert trade marketing specialists -- creates a symbiotic relationship where both teams leverage the strengths of the other."

Llewelyn's experience includes five years at tour operator G Adventures. McDade brings experience in communications strategy and content creation, Globus said. Olton had recent stints as a business development manager at Quark Expeditions and regional sales manager at G Adventures.
