Tauck will debut a collection of women-only trips this year in Europe, following the success of the river cruise retreat for women it operated last fall.
The travel style has been gaining steam as more women travel alone. Tour operators are capitalizing on the growing travel style with dedicated itineraries and departure dates for female travelers.
The Tauck trips will bring women-only groups to Ireland, Italy and Portugal. The itineraries will be led by a female Tauck tour director as part of the brand's Small Group journeys, averaging between 20 and 24 guests. The trips will be held consecutively in September and October, enabling guests to attend multiple trips. All three itineraries are eight days long.
Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh said the response to the river cruise retreat "affirmed what we were already seeing across the industry: Women are seeking travel experiences that offer not just discovery but genuine connection and community."
"Whether it's mothers and daughters marking a milestone, sisters planning a long-awaited journey, friends reuniting for a special getaway or solo travelers looking to connect with like-minded women, these departures offer another layer: A built-in sense of ease, encouragement and belonging."
The Ireland itinerary includes a two-night stay in the 16th-century Dromoland Castle. Guests will also visit the Cliffs of Moher and Blarney Castle, include a private recital at Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral and partake in a cooking experience at Ballyknocken House.
The Piedmont trip is designed with foodies in mind. The itinerary features truffle hunting in the Langhe, wine tasting at Banca del Vino and a chef-led cooking class. Guests will spend two nights at the historical Principi di Piemonte in Turin.
The Portugal itinerary will take participants from Porto to Lisbon. Trip highlights include port tasting, visits to Sintra and Cascais and a private dinner at the 18th-century Palacio de Queluz. Travelers will spend part of their trip at the 15th-century Convento do Espinheiro in Evora.
