American Express added two sizeable travel
agencies to its rep network. They are the employee-owned CI Travel
in Norfolk, Va., and The Travel Team, based in Buffalo, N.Y., a
wholly owned subsidiary of Rich Products Corp.
CI Travel is a $150
million company and was ranked No. 35 in Travel Weeklys 2005 Power List of agencies. Founded in
1972, it counts 235 employee-owners in 35 locations in 10 states
and the District of Columbia. Kevin McElroy, president and COO,
heads the company.
The Travel Team,
which debuted in 1989, employs more than 130 associates and has
branches in Albany, Jamestown and Rochester, N.Y. President Jean
McDonnell Covelli heads the agency.
