Expedia Group has struck an agreement with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to share travel data and trends and help promote tourism recovery.
The entities will work together on projects surrounding rural tourism and developing lesser-known destinations, according to Expedia.
The agreement will also support training opportunities for tourism professionals.
"Restoring travel will take an unprecedented level of partnership across the public and private sectors, and working together with the UNWTO will allow us to join forces for the recovery of the travel industry," Ariane Gorin, president of Expedia Business Services at Expedia Group, said in a statement.
