FIFA has announced the 16 North American cities that will host the World Cup in 2026.
Eleven cities in the U.S., along with three cities in Mexico and two in Canada, will host the 48-team tournament, an expansion from the previous 32-team count. It will be the first time three nations have been appointed to host the World Cup.
The U.S. locations are Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-New Jersey area, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle. The sites in Mexico include Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City, and Canada's locations will be Vancouver and Toronto.
The U.S. will host 60 matches that will include the quarterfinals, semifinals and the final match, while Mexico and Canada will each host 10 matches.
Each U.S. city will host up to six matches. Matches in the New York-New Jersey area will be hosted at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
