Global Travel Collection, Internova Travel Group's luxury travel arm, has named Vanessa McGovern senior vice president of partner product, marketing and events.

McGovern earlier this month left Gifted Travel Network, the Mooresville, N.C.-based host agency she co-founded in 2013. McGovern was most recently Gifted's chief sales and marketing officer.
Her career started as an art auctioneer aboard cruise ships before she moved into leadership roles at Cruise Planners and Gifted Travel Network (which began as the Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs).
In her new role at Global Travel Collection, McGovern's focus will be on fostering relationships with suppliers, creating alliances and exclusive programs, and crafting brand stories.
