Meanwhile, ICTA said it revised its Trip Kit program, a
self-study package of materials designed to introduce prospects to
the travel industry.
Priced at $197, it includes ICTA's textbooks, "Travel Career
Development 7th Edition," together with its companion workbook, and
"Exploring the World, Geography for Travel Professionals."
The "Travel Career" book contains information to prepare for the
Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) test, which was developed by ASTA
and ICTA to measure entry-level knowledge and assist newcomers in
launching a career. A voucher for the TAP test (a $90 value) is
included in the package.
The kit also can be used by agency owners and managers to help
train inexperienced staff.
