WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Travel agents have until April 30 to register at $245 for participation in the Institute of Certified Travel Agents National Forum, set for Sept. 12 to 14 at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts in Orlando.

The full registration fee of $295 applies thereafter.

The forum will include professional development workshops, which will draw on experts from outside the industry to lead sessions on business development, marketing, financial analysis, communication and leadership. In addition, the agenda includes a professional development program to be offered through the Disney Institute.

Meanwhile, ICTA said it revised its Trip Kit program, a self-study package of materials designed to introduce prospects to the travel industry.

Priced at $197, it includes ICTA's textbooks, "Travel Career Development 7th Edition," together with its companion workbook, and "Exploring the World, Geography for Travel Professionals."

The "Travel Career" book contains information to prepare for the Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) test, which was developed by ASTA and ICTA to measure entry-level knowledge and assist newcomers in launching a career. A voucher for the TAP test (a $90 value) is included in the package.

The kit also can be used by agency owners and managers to help train inexperienced staff.

For information, visit the ICTA Web site or call (800) 542-4282.
