Travel and hospitality marketing
firm MMGY Global has acquired research firm D.K. Shifflet & Associates
for an undisclosed price.
MMGY, which received an equity
investment from private-equity firm Peninsula Capital Partners earlier this
year, is buying D.K. Shifflet for its data on consumer trends, spending patterns and
visitor profiles, among other information. D.K. Shifflet will continue to operate as its
own entity from its office in McLean, Virginia.
MMGY, founded in 1981,
has offices in New York, Orlando and Madrid.
