Signature Travel Network makes luxury push: Travel Weekly

Signature Travel Network has created a luxury sales development program to help expand its luxury business with the likes of training, events and marketing.

The program is being spearheaded by executive vice president Ignacio Maza.

"With Ignacio's leadership, Signature will create the training programs, marketing, communications and events that will accelerate our growth, help us get to the next level in the luxury travel space, and strengthen our base of luxury travel consultants," CEO Alex Sharpe said.

Luxury is Signature's fastest-growing segment, according to Sharpe.

In addition, Signature appointed Richard Lebowitz as senior vice president for its hotel and resort program. He is based in the company's New York office and will report to Sharpe.

Lebowitz has previously held positions with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.
