The Travel Institute (TTI) has launched a new initiative, Knowledge Bridge, enabling its content to be licensed by anyone in travel industry with a learning management system.
Knowledge Bridge delivers curriculum created and maintained by TTI to virtually any LMS, according to president Taylor Ruecking.
"The Travel Institute is the education source, but it requires everyone to come to us, and that doesn't work for everyone," Ruecking said. "We don't need to keep a proprietary industry language of education. Our mission is to bring it to everyone, no matter where the advisors are."
Ruecking was named president of the Institute in January. That month, he teased that a program enabling the wider sharing of the organization's educational content was on its way.
"This is what part of the goal is, reinvesting in education and also making sure that our education reaches all the advisors and fills those knowledge gaps," he said.
Knowledge Bridge officially launches on April 20, but TTI has already been working with early adopters, including Signature Travel Network.
Those partnering with the Institute via Knowledge Bridge can choose to integrate a variety of courses, from its TripKit bundle for new advisors, to its destination and niche market specialist courses.
Courses are updated when the organization makes changes.
One of the changes coming soon is a fully revised version of the Alaska destination specialist course, according to Ruecking. More updated courses are expected later this year, including the Certified Travel Associate course; the 11th edition is coming out June 1.
Those interested in Knowledge Bridge can have a connection up and running in as little as a day, he said, though TTI can customize solutions for specific needs.
"There's really a cost benefit to them," Ruecking said, as they can create any hyper-specific training (like onboarding new advisors) but lean on TTI's content for the rest.
"Everything is about education at The Travel Institute; this is our mission," he said. "We've been just reinvesting. Everything is going into education and making sure that our education can reach everywhere."
