Travel Edge Network has launched a new social media campaign called "The Big Ticket" and a corresponding contest designed to attract new travel advisors.
The campaign, which focuses on the benefits of being a travel advisor, invites entrants to record a 60-second video explaining why they want to sell luxury travel. Travel Edge suggested contestants use the video to highlight their favorite travel photos and videos.
Contest winners will be enrolled in the Toronto-based host agency and sent on a hosted professional development trip designed to kick-start their career. The contest will run through Jan. 26. Two winners will be named in early February.
Winners will also become Travel Edge "brand ambassadors" who will create content highlighting their new careers and the host agency's offerings.
Travel Edge said the campaign will be featured on a number of platforms, including those owned by Meta and Google, as well as TikTok and LinkedIn.
"Through this campaign, we want to both identify and inspire those who are passionate about travel to consider a career path as an independent advisor and to provide them with the tools, resources and training to get started and be successful in a career that offers unlimited growth potential, independence and flexibility to accommodate varied lifestyles," Travel Edge senior vice president Nadiya Makarenko said.
