MONTREAL -- Accovia, a vendor of packaging technology, launched a new product, the Accovia Selling System Platform. It allows tour operators to gather inventory from various channels, including the GDSs, when building packages.

Before launching the new tool, Accovia customers could only package their own inventory -- negotiated air fares and blocked hotel rooms.

Accovia said its use of XML technology and Web services allow it to efficiently connect with legacy reservations systems.
