Travelport has reached an agreement to sell Air Canada's NDC-enabled airline products.

Air Canada NDC content, including airline tickets and ancillary offerings, will go live on the GDS's Travelport+ platform "in the coming months," the companies said.

The functionality, Travelport and Air Canada said, will also include end-to-end servicing of NDC bookings.

In June, Air Canada instituted a surcharge of $21.50 in Amadeus and Travelport and $24.50 in Sabre for U.S. point-of-sale legacy Edifact-supported GDS bookings. The airline currently offers NDC content on the Amadeus GDS. Air Canada also reached an NDC distribution agreement with Sabre in June, but content is not yet available, and no activation date has been announced.

"Travelport and Air Canada share a decades-long relationship and we're pleased to be taking this important next step as we modernize our distribution capabilities," Mark Nasr, Air Canada's executive vice president of marketing and digital, said in a prepared comment Wednesday.

"Together, we will enable the delivery of the full range of content and fares that Air Canada provides to our travel trade partners, as well as access to the many upcoming products and services that are focused on improving travel for our customers."
