Pana has introduced an itinerary-management app, Pana Free,
to organize travel plans and send trip notifications to users.
The company already offers Pana Concierge and Pana Business,
apps that connect users to travel agents via a chat interface. Pana Free is its
first free offering.
To use the free app, users connect it to their email inbox.
A bot searches for upcoming travel plans and puts together an itinerary, including
flights, hotels, activities and restaurants. Users can also
email their bookings to [email protected] to create an itinerary.
Once the information has been imported into the app, users can
view and share their itineraries (they can be viewed both online and offline).
Pana Free's bot can also send trip alerts to users, like gate changes for
flights and flight delay updates, and can automatically check into flights.
According to Pana CEO Devon Tivona, the bot is not a
conversational bot that users can interact with, but its purpose is to send the
user notifications about things on their itineraries.
"We wanted to set a new standard for design and UI/UX,
as well as pioneer capabilities like automatic flight check-in and travel
alerts that other apps typically charge a premium for," head of product
Paul Ballas said in a statement.
Ballas said Pana is planning new features to the free
itinerary app in the coming months, including enhancements to multi-person trip
planning.
