Incase Commuter Backpack: The eco-friendly Incase company and the equally eco-conscious Bionic firm have teamed up to create a limited line of products designed to help ease the strain of carrying a laptop for business or business travel. The products comprise a computer sleeve, an accessory organizer and, most importantly, a laptop-carrying backpack. The Commuter backpack, which can accommodate a 16-inch laptop, is constructed of remarkably lightweight plastics recovered from marine and coastal environments. It measures 19 by 11 by 4.5 inches; weighs 1.3 pounds; and comes in gray or green. $99.95; www.incase.com

Kachula Adventure Blanket: This multi-purpose product from Salt Lake City outdoors outfitter Coalatree does a lot of things, all of them well. For starters, it is a 50 inch by 72-inch ripstop nylon blanket with a nylon flannel bottom (both made from 100% recycled materials) that is nimble enough to be stuffed into a zippered stash pocket for portability and/or use as a pillow while you are traveling. Use the blanket's reinforced snaps to connect multiple blankets to create a larger surface for extended cover. Caught in the rain? Attach the water-resistant hood to convert the Kachula into an emergency poncho. The blanket, which weighs 1 pound, 9 ounces, is available in a variety of colors and designs. $67; https://coalatree.com

Roam Jaunt Carryon: There are lots of way to express yourself, but who knew buying a carryon bag could bring out the Picasso in you. Roam Luggage, it turns out, enables you to mix and match the front and back shell colors, trim, zipper, wheel hubcaps, handles and more to design a bag that is expressly and uniquely your own. According to Roam, this world of choice adds up to more than a million color combinations. The Jaunt, which meets the carryon requirements of all major airlines, measures 22 by 14 by 9 inches and weighs only 6.6 pounds. Accoutrements include a polycarbonate shell, aluminum telescoping handle with four height settings, water-repellent zipper, ball-bearing wheels, inner compression system and a washable fabric lining. And if a million options are not enough to set this bag apart from the others on the airport carousel, you can also add a three-letter monogram to a leather pouch on the back of the case. $495; https://roamluggage.com

Snapback Hat: Water, water everywhere ... and not a drop on your head! It is not surprising that a waterproof cap that floats comes from a company named Everyday California. Also not surprising, the baseball-type cap made with an aviator-grade satin fabric is just the thing for outdoor adventurers. In addition to being waterproof and floatable, the wide-brimmed Snapback one-size-fits-all product certainly looks good enough to be worn in a desert. It is available in navy and sage. $32; www.everydaycalifornia.com

Sunflow Beach Chair: Even with Covid still very much about and winter on the horizon, it is always appropriate to anticipate sun, sand and the beach. Featuring a lightweight and rust-resistant aluminum frame, the Sunflow portable, foldable beach chair reclines to four positions; is easy to open and close; and has detachable back-pack straps for carrying. The seat (set approximately 9 inches from the sand) and back are made of water-resistant marine fabrics. Vital statistics: 9.4 pounds; 23 by 24.5 by 5 inches; weight limit: 225 pounds. $198; www.getsunflow.com
