Rosewood Hotels & Resorts plans to open its first Laos property in 2017.
The Rosewood Luang Prabang will include 17 villas and five luxury tents, all of which will be
located within a dense forest area and adjacent to either a stream or riverbank.
The resort will be
a 10-minute drive from the city of Luang Prabang. It will feature an entry “manor” containing a bar and restaurant
that will serve French and Laotian cuisine.
Some of the villas will have
open-air showers, while each of the 1,100-square-foot luxury tents will have
private dining areas and wrap-around decks.
Rosewood will fund and operate a hospitality school at the site.
