The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is ramping up its series of seminars this fall targeting travel specialists in several markets in the U.S.
The series takes the form of a trade show followed by dinner and a presentation by the JTB, with an update on Jamaica's tourism performance, product and new developments.
"The Jamaica Travel Specialists have played an important part in the success we now enjoy as a destination, and these seminars are targeting more than 2,500 travel agents in the Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and West/Southwest," said Donnie Dawson, the JTB's deputy director of tourism.
"We appreciate the work they do in selling Jamaica and believe it is important to keep them updated so they are armed with the latest information to help keep Jamaica top of mind with their clients," he said.
The series began in Boston on Oct. 7 and wraps up in Jacksonville, Fla. on Nov. 7.
Invitations are extended to the specialist agents in the different U.S. regions via email, and they can then sign up online to attend the seminar.
