Carnival Cruise Line added a variety of pre-cruise
capabilities to its Hub app, such as the ability to book shore excursions, spa
treatments, specialty dining packages and Fun Shop orders for
stateroom delivery.
All had previously been available online but not through the
app.
Carnival said guests can also now check in to their cruise
within the app.
"The new features on the Hub App bring [a guest's]
vacation planning to the palm of their hand in ways that consumers have come to
expect from great technology," said Ron Dillehay, vice president of booked
guest e-commerce and guest experience for Carnival Cruise Line.
In addition, Carnival said its Pizza Anywhere function on
the app has been expanded to nine more ships besides the Carnival Horizon and
Vista. Those ships are the Carnival Victory, Magic, Breeze, Conquest, Dream,
Sensation, Glory, Ecstasy, and Liberty.
Carnival said it is now working toward a pilot to expand
Pizza Anywhere deliveries with the addition of beverages.
