Carnival Cruise Line will partner with arts-and-crafts retail chain Michaels to offer a "Make It With Michaels" shipboard experience.

Workshops will feature seasonally changing crafts and creative, nostalgic mementos including key chains, bracelets and picture frames. The costs, if any, weren't detailed.

Additionally, Michaels will feature Carnival Cruise Line-themed in-store classes this spring across its 1,200 U.S. stores.

Steve Carlotti, Michaels' executive vice president of marketing, said the partnership will further Michael's mission of making it easy for parents to provide their kids "with more mindful, screen-free fun."

The companies didn't say when "Make It With Michaels" would debut, but did say it is intended to be fleet-wide.

A sweepstakes to win one of five free cruises is being offered by Carnival and Michaels through April 30.
