Crystal Cruises has firmed up an order for a third ship, which will be constructed by Fincantieri and delivered in 2032.
Also, the memorandum of understanding for two ships that Crystal signed in June with Fincantieri is now a firm order. The first ship is expected to arrive in spring 2028, and the second is tentatively scheduled for 2030.
Each of the 61,800-gross-ton ships are expected to carry 690 guests at double occupancy.
In comparison, Crystal's current ships, the 740-guest Crystal Serenity and 606-guest Crystal Symphony, are 51,068 and 68,870 gross tons, respectively.
The new ships will feature a promenade extending the ship's perimeter, similar to that on the Symphony and Serenity. The ships will also include Nobu restaurant Umi Uma and Beefbar.
The Crystal ships will also have casinos developed in collaboration with Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer. A Casino de Monte-Carlo is expected to debut on the Symphony this month and on the Serenity in December. When those ships were refurbished, they did not have casinos but Crystal is restoring them after receiving guest feedback.
The new all-suite ships will include accommodations with private verandas, including in its single-occupancy rooms.
The ship orders come about two years after A&K Travel Group acquired the luxury cruise line following the collapse of previous Crystal owner Genting Hong Kong.
