Disney Cruise Line on Monday cut the ribbon on its cruise terminal at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, the line's second year-round homeport in Florida.
The Disney Dream will begin sailing from Port Everglades on Nov. 20, followed by the Disney Magic on May 9. The ships will sail a mix of three-, four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean.

The terminal is a redo of Port Everglades' Terminal 4. When guests arrive, they will discover characters from the animated film "Finding Nemo" displayed on murals.
Sharon Siskie, Disney Cruise Line's senior vice president and general manager, called the grand opening "an incredible milestone as we embark on the largest expansion in our cruise line's history."
Disney Cruise Line and Broward County previously announced a 15-year agreement that includes a minimum 10.6 million passenger movements at Port Everglades, plus the option for three 5-year extensions.
The agreement, announced in December 2021, calls for one ship to homeport in Port Everglades year-round beginning this fall, followed by a second seasonal ship in 2025.
