Ponant has resumed cruises in the Seychelles, saying it is the first cruise line to resume operations there.

Ponant is offering five itineraries and 19 cruises in the archipelago through April, first on Le Bellot, which departed Mahé on Nov. 18 on an eight-day sailing calling at eight islands. That ship will be joined by Le Bougainville and Le Jacques-Cartier.

"After long months of waiting, we are more than prepared to resume our operations in the Seychelles," said Hervé Bellaïche, Ponant's chief sales, marketing and communications officer.

Sales for the 2022-2023 winter season are now open.
