Two years after its debut, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newest ship, the Seven Seas Explorer, will go to South America for the first time.

In a two-month season from January to March 2019, the 750-passenger ship will visit ports in 10 South American countries on five voyages.

The shortest is a 12-day cruise departing Jan 20 from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires, while the longest departs Buenos Aires on Feb. 1 and arrives in Los Angeles 36 days later.

Suites for Seven Seas Explorer's maiden South American sailings are nearly all sold out, Regent said. Fares on the Buenos Aires-Los Angeles cruise start at $24,199.
