Meyer Werft handed off Ovation of the Seas to Royal Caribbean International at a ceremony in Bremerhaven, Germany, on Friday.

The 4,200-passenger ship is the third in Royal Caribbean’s Quantum class. Following a series of short cruises from Southampton, England, it will depart for China where it will sail cruises for the Chinese market from Tianjin, and for the Australian market from Sydney.

With the arrival of Ovation, Royal Caribbean will have five ships dedicated to sourcing passengers from China, including two Quantum-class vessels.
