The 44-room Sir Savigny hotel has opened in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin.

The property, in the western part of the city, features guestrooms designed by Amsterdam-based Saar Zafrir; accommodations range from the nearly 45-square-foot Sir Petit room to the 100-square-foot Sir Savigny Suite. Design elements include local art, vintage rugs and custom-made furniture.

The lobby and public rooms include the Library, the Winter Garden and a burger bar called the Butcher. The property also features the Savigny Garden, decorated with graffiti by local street artist Dome.

The Sir Savigny, housed in a building that originally served as a residence and dates to 1893, is a member of the Design Hotels collection of luxury, boutique properties.

Room rates start at about $165. Visit http://www.sirsavignyhotel.com/.
