La Maison Hotel in Saarlouis, Germany, unveiled 12 new rooms and suites after a two-year construction project.
The new accommodations are housed in a modern, timber-clad extension of a historic mansion with its own private park.
The expansion was overseen by Christine Beaumont and Achim Gergen of local design firm CBAG.studio, who were also responsible for the interiors of 10 guestrooms and one suite, with Hamburg-based creative studio Conni Kotte overseeing the design of the second suite.
Guestrooms all feature floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious balconies and open floor plans.
The Michelin-starred Louis restaurant is helmed by chef Martin Stopp and serves French cuisine in the former courtroom with a terrace overlooking the park. The hotel's second restaurant, Pastis Bistro, has been awarded the Bib Gourmand for its informal take on classic French fare.
Rates average about $187 a night.
