Hotel Union Oye, a historic mountain retreat located in the Sunnmore region on the northwest coast of Norway, is reopening in June after a major refurbishment.

Parent company 62 NORD is unveiling the results of the restoration of the property, which has been in operation since 1891 and has welcomed Norwegian royalty and famous explorers.

The renovation includes three new suites and the Cluster Farm, which houses 13 more suites; the Palm Room; the Pantry; the Conservatory; the Library; the Wine Cellar; the Game Room; and the expansion of the extensive gardens.

The hotel is the first in Norway to be welcomed into the Relais & Chateaux collection.

Rates at the Hotel Union Oye start from about $513, double, including breakfast.
