The Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona, Switzerland, a member of Tschuggen Hotel Group, unveiled the results of an extensive renovation of its Grand Suites.

The rooms now feature modern designs, light colors and contemporary furniture, all by Ticino-based designer Carlo Rampazzi.

Each suite offers two bedrooms, large bathrooms, a living area with picture windows and terraces with views of Lake Maggiore.

The 42-room, five-star property also debuted the Garden of Eden concept, which features alfresco seating by the lake, new dining and cocktail menus and outdoor summer events, including flower, gelato and chestnut festivals.

Finally, in August, Simon Spiller, formerly of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, will take on the position of general manager at the hotel.

Existing amenities include a private beach and a marina, four restaurants, a fitness center, two outdoor pools and a 2,000-square-meter spa with an indoor pool, saunas, a tanning solarium and seven treatment rooms.

The Tschuggen Hotel Group also includes the Tschuggen Grand Hotel Arosa, the Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz, the Albergo Carcani in Ascona and the Valsana Hotel & Appartements in Arosa.
