Jessie Royer, champion dogsled racer, is using Triple Creek Ranch in Darby, Mont., to select and train her 2013 Iditarod dog team and will offer ranch guests the basics of harnessing, hitching and steering a sled dog team on select dates in January. Priced from $950 per night, double, the Winter Dog Sled package at Triple Creek Ranch, valid Jan. 5 through 20, includes a half-day dogsled excursion with Royer, accommodations in a private cabin, all meals and other outdoor activities. For each guest participating in the dogsled excursions, Triple Creek Ranch will contribute $300 to help fund Royer's Iditarod team.
