Air New Zealand will add another weekly flight to its Honolulu-Auckland route, a seasonal route between October and March, according to a May 11 New Zealand Herald report.

The carrier also plans to upgrade the aircraft on its existing twice-weekly Honolulu-Auckland flights to a larger Boeing 777-200 plane from June 9 to Sept. 1 of this year, the newspaper said.

The airline told the New Zealand Herald that it was expanding its capacity to Hawaii in response to increased seasonal demand.
