Loaded with scenic fairways, oceanfront greens and plenty of lava rock just waiting to swallow up errant balls, Hawaii is home to a gorgeous collection of challenging golf courses. Duffers will find some of the Aloha State's top golf offered at the destination's many sprawling resorts.
The following are some current specials around the Islands. Big Island of Hawaii
The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is offering a three-night, Stay and Play package for guests, featuring four rounds of golf -- two at the property's Mauna Kea Golf Course and two at the Hapuna Golf Course right next door -- and daily buffet breakfasts for two. Room rates start at $550 a night, and the offer is good through Dec. 17.

Duffers considering a stay at the St. Regis Princeville can take advantage of the property's Pursue Your Passion promotion, which offers guests a $1,000 resort credit for every five nights they stay. The credit can be put toward golf at the oceanfront Makai Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., but can also be spent on dining and spa treatments. Room rates start at $743 a night.
The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Maui has put together a Golf in Paradise special that includes two rounds of golf daily at either the property's Bay or Plantation courses (the latter annually hosts a PGA tour event in December). Guests also receive a buffet breakfast for two at the hotel's Terrace Restaurant. Room rates at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Maui start at $869 a night, and the special runs through Dec. 18.
The Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu's North Shore has several unlimited-play packages available to guests, including a three-day single package starting at $375 or a twosome, three-day package at $675. The resort is also offering a single, unlimited, five-day package for $550 or $950 for a twosome. All the options include play on both the property's Palmer and Fazio courses.
