An oceanfront resort on the island of Kauai, The Cliffs at Princeville, is offering a new electric car-sharing service, in partnership with Envoy Hawaii, as a resort amenity.

"It's firstly a convenience," said Cliffs general manager Jim Braman in a press release, "but it's also a premium amenity, allowing our guests to venture out and explore the island in a very nice ride."

As part of its sustainable travel initiatives, The Cliffs offers guests to book the two Tesla Model 3s via the Envoy Mobility app by the hour.

"In remote destinations like our own, with limited roadways, electric-vehicle sharing is the future," Braman said. "We're making it easy and fun, as a natural complement to a regenerative travel stay."
