Grand Wailea has made three new appointments to its leadership staff.
Tina Canderle has been promoted as the new director of sales and marketing for membership. She previously worked as a sales manager at the Westin Maui resort and Spa and account director at Starwood Maui Metro Market before joining the Grand Wailea in the sales department in 2014.
"Our members are exceptionally important to the Waldorf Astoria brand, and Tina brings her passion for Hawaii and our celebrated culture to the property each and every day. We know she'll flourish in this new role here at Grand Wailea," managing director Allan Federer said in a release.
Filing Canderle's vacated role of director of sales at the Maui resort is Kenji Ota, who previously spent 18 years at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, most recently as director of national accounts.
Brandon Smith, who has been tapped as the new director of revenue management, moves over from Waldorf Astoria Resort sister property, Arizona Biltmore, where he served in the same role for the past 11 years.
"Our Grand Wailea ohana is pleased to welcome Kenji and Brandon to the team,"
Federer said. "With Kenji's background in the luxury Maui hospitality market and Smith's background with Hilton, we're confident their individual and collective expertise will further drive business for the resort."
