Hawaii Forest and Trail has added a new tour at dusk to its menu of options on Oahu.
The new "Sunset on the Ridge" experience includes a moderate hike at 2,400 feet above sea level through native forest. The trek on Palehua trail culminates in an overlook of Oahu's west side, including views of Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Diamond Head and Ko Olina.
Naturalist guides lead the tour and participants also receive snacks of Hawaiian fruits and vegetables and non-alcoholic beverages.
"Hawaii Forest and Trail's Oahu adventures give guests exclusive access to lands with incredible stories to tell," said company vice president of marketing Jason Cohn in a statement. "When we first discovered Palehua, we knew it was a hidden, undiscovered gem. The Sunset on the Ridge adventure reveals itself through this native forest, remarkable views and once-in-a-lifetime Hawaiian sunsets."
The Sunset on the Ridge tour leaves from Ko Olina Resort at approximately 3:50 p.m. (depending on the season and sunset time) and costs $135 per person.
