Hawaii Superferry's Alakai, which will
provide interisland service between Maui, Kauai and Oahu, is
expected to arrive in Honolulu June 30, according to the company.
Reservations now can be made for travel from Sept. 5 through Jan.
15.
If the inaugural
voyage is changed to a date in August, as the company said it could
be, additional summer travel dates will open up for
reservations.
According to
Hawaii Superferry, the best fares are available online at www.hawaiisuperferry.com. Travelers can also book by
calling (877) 443-3779. Travel agents, wholesalers and those
traveling with a group are asked to visit the corporate sales
section of the Web site for information.
The ferry will be
homeported in Honolulu and travel between Oahu and Maui and Oahu
and Kauai, Sundays through Fridays. A second ferry will open
service to the Big Island from Oahu in 2009.
