Hawaiian Airlines inaugurated service between Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye Airport and Fukuoka Airport on Japan's Kyushu Island on Nov. 26.

The nonstop service will run four times a week using an Airbus A330. The flight departs Honolulu on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:20 a.m., arriving at Fukuoka at 5:21 p.m. the following day. Return service leaves Japan at 7:55 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and arrives in Oahu at 8:45 a.m. the same day. The aircraft has 18 fully flat, premium cabin seats; 68 extra comfort seats; and 192 main cabin seats.

Fukuoka is now one of four cities in Japan with direct service from the Aloha State from Hawaiian Airlines, joining Osaka, Sapporo, and Tokyo's Haneda and Narita airports. The carrier now operates 35 weekly nonstop flights between Japan and Hawaii and is slated to begin additional daily service between Honolulu and Tokyo Haneda on March 28.
