Hawaiian Airlines transported more than 969,000 passengers in June, an increase of 2% over the same month last year.



The carrier's load factor also improved, climbing 1.9 percentage points year over year to 86.1% in June, according to figures released by Hawaiian on July 7.

Meanwhile, revenue producing miles grew by 6.2% to more than 1.3 billion.

Year to date through June, Hawaiian has transported more 5.4 million travelers, up 4.3% from the same six-month period in 2015, and the carrier's load factor has climbed 2.8 percentage points to 82.8%.
