Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort has announced a series of summer events.

Next month, the resort will host its first Independence Day celebration on the Great Lawn. Dubbed "Rock the Lagoon," the event includes live music, grilled burgers, hot dogs and kabobs, lawn games, and views of the evening of fireworks show.

On Aug. 24, Hilton Hawaiian Village hosts the Great Waikiki Beer Festival. Celebrating its fifth year, the festival will bring in more than 100 seasonal, local and craft beers from Hawaii and beyond. The resort's culinary team will craft a selection of beer-friendly foods and there will be live music on the resort's Great Lawn.

The night before, there will be a special beer pairing dinner with Kona Brewing Co. for the festival's VIP ticketholders, with expert chefs leading a four-course meal.

Additionally, the "Salute to Summer" offers military personnel 15% discount every Friday through June 28 at the Tapa Bar from 8:10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Additionally, raffle prizes will be awarded each week, and military personnel and Hilton Honors members can enter a grand prize drawing for a two-night stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
