As part of his new role, Claypool, who has earned personal training certification and massage therapy licenses in several states, will oversee the Kohala Spa, reviewing current operations and services to enhance the guest experience.
He brings more than 20 years of experience working in hospitality, with 17 years focused on spa operations. Most recently, he served as spa and recreation director at the Moana Surfrider, and he also previously held similar roles with The Ritz-Carlton's South Beach and St. Thomas properties.
"Brandon has both a commercially driven and creative focus, and I am very much looking forward to how the future of our spa and recreation services will continue to excel under his leadership," Simon Amos, hotel manager at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, said in a statement.
