Yolanda Cardiff has been appointed director of sales and marketing for the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, a full-service hotel now under construction in a former Oahu office building on Kuhio Avenue.
Cardiff worked previously as the global account executive for American Express Global Business Travel. Prior to that, she served as a senior director of global sales for Millennium Hotels and Resorts and also director of global sales at Melia Hotels International.
"It is an honor to join the Hyatt Centric brand during this very exciting time of growth in Waikiki and on Kuhio Avenue," Cardiff said in a statement. "As we get closer to opening our first Hawaii hotel, I look forward to welcoming our guests with genuine warmth, aloha and hospitality."
Developers plan to open the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach on Dec. 8 in what was once the Waikiki Trade Center. The upscale hotel will feature an outdoor pool, a high-end bar and restaurant and a 24-hour fitness facility.
