Parker Ranch and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel have partnered to put on the first Whiskey Classic.
The event will be held March 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel's north garden. There will be Southern cuisine and whiskey, live entertainment, craft cocktail demonstrations, a raffle and lawn games. Southern dishes served will include po' boys, grilled oysters, fried pigs ears, barbecued brisket, cornbread and sweet potato pie.
Admission is $125 per person and includes a whiskey flight and barrel-aged cocktail samples.
Proceeds from the Whiskey Classic benefit the Mauna Kea Resort Culinary and Hospitality Scholarship through the University of Hawaii foundation.
