The Koloa Plantation Days Festival, an annual celebration on Kauai of the diverse cultures that came to Hawaii as part of the migrant influx during the sugar and pineapple plantation era, will take place June 19-28.

The event, entering its 34th year, blends together music, dance and cuisine to reflect the rich melting pot of cultures that now populate the islands. Several of Kauai’s resorts and businesses participate in Koloa Plantation Days festivities, including guided walks, talk story sessions, outdoor sports, live entertainment and themed children’s activities.

The festival also includes a three-day rodeo competition celebrating Hawaii’s “paniolo” cowboy culture.
