Hawaii hotels enjoyed both occupancy and average daily room rate (ADR) growth year over year for the week ending Sept. 17.
ADR across the Aloha State jumped 9.3% to $238.46, according to a weekly survey by Hospitality Advisors and STR.
Meanwhile, statewide occupancy for Hawaii hotels climbed 2.4 percentage points, to 81.7%.
Hawaii Island enjoyed the largest year-over-year percentage growth in ADR, as room rates there surged nearly 18% over the same week last year, to $219.36. Occupancy on the Big Island also improved by double digits, jumping 12.5%, to 71.9%.
Rooms were most expensive, however, on Maui, where the ADR was $253.64, up 3.9% from the same week last year.
Oahu posted the highest occupancy during the week as the island's average was 86.1%, a figure that slipped 1 percentage point from last year.
