Virgin America operated its first daily nonstop flight between Los Angeles International Airport and Maui's Kahului Airport on June 14.

The carrier debuted service to Hawaii from LAX with daily nonstop flights to Honolulu on May 5.

Virgin America is operating both routes with Airbus A320 aircraft.

"Since we launched service to Hawaii last year, the response from our guests has been overwhelming, and we're thrilled to add yet another route and give flyers the ability to travel from Los Angeles to Maui in style," John MacLeod, Virgin America's senior vice president of sales and planning, said in a statement.

The airline inaugurated nonstop daily service between San Francisco and Honolulu last November, and then launched daily nonstops between SFO and Kahului Airport in December.
