Casa Silencio has opened its doors Sept. 15 in Oaxaca. The nine-acre boutique hotel, not far from the archaeological ruins of Mitla, is part of El Silencio mezcal distillery

Featuring six guestrooms decorated in the Oaxacan aesthetic (wood, stone, textiles, wood-burning fireplaces), Casa Silencio offers distillery tours and mezcal-making and tastings. Guests can dine at the on-site restaurant, which serves Oaxacan dishes and cocktails designed by the El Silencio team.
