The state of Guanajuato, home to tourist favorites like San Miguel de Allende, has started to ramp up its tourism offerings again with a new tourism campaign, Guanajuato, Live Great Stories.
The campaign has launched statewide, with more than 150 products and experiences for visitors, which are currently only being promoted domestically, but will be expanded to international media and trade in a second phase.
As part of the state's reopening strategy, hotels, restaurants, attractions and tours are in the orange traffic light stage, meaning they operate at 50% capacity. Part of the state's reopening strategy is to implement on-site certification requirements for establishments following international protocols and guidelines. All service providers and companies have to obtain the certification prior to reopening.
