Hilton is expanding further into the all-inclusive space with Playa Hotels & Resorts, unveiling plans to open the Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Mexico this May.
Formerly the Live Aqua Playa del Carmen, the adults-only Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen will be located on Playa del Carmen's Fifth Avenue, in close proximity to the beach.
Along with 60 guestrooms, the property will house a restaurant, sushi bar, rooftop pool and bar, spa and fitness center.
Guests at The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen will also have access to offerings at the nearby Hilton Playa del Carmen adults-only all-inclusive, which is also managed by Playa Hotels & Resorts. Guests at the latter property wil likewise be able to enjoy access to Yucatan Resort offerings.
The resort is the latest opening born out of a 2018 alliance between Hilton and Playa. In addition to The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen and Hilton Playa del Carmen, Playa's other Hilton-flagged all-inclusives include the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica and two Hilton La Romana resorts in the Dominican Republic.
