Kimpton to open two Mexico City hotels: Travel Weekly

Kimpton has announced plans to debut in Mexico next year with the opening of two hotels in Mexico City's Polanco neighborhood.

Residential buildings will be converted into one 32-room property and one 48-room property, each featuring a "signature restaurant" and rooftop bar and amenities such as complimentary bikes and in-room yoga mats, according to Kimpton.

The two hotels are owned by ZKC, a real estate investment fund based in Mexico City, which is developing the properties in conjunction with VineTower Development, architect Ambrosi Etchegaray and interior designer Arquitectura de Interiores.

Kimpton, an InterContinental Hotels Group brand, operates more than 60 hotels and 80 restaurants in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Taiwan.
